
Alas, one of the few spoilers of this desert paradise are the scorpions.
There are virtually no bugs out here but these pointy fiends surely compensate.
I was originally quite terrified of these demons so I have begun to keep them as
'pets' in an aquarium as a sort of 'scorpion therapy'. It works!

By the way, did I mention that they glow bright neon
yellow under a black light? Very bizarre - you have to see it to believe
it.




Here one of our intrepid scorps prepares to catch his
largest prey yet - a giant grasshopper...

...if you can believe it he actually held on while the grasshopper flew around
the cage for a minute before succumbing to the poison.



Life in the scorpion shack is quite cushy; free food, a
water tub and a cool climbing wall...
