Landscaping Before & After Shots
In November 2000 I spent 10 days muddling around in my yard replacing bushes with cacti and weeding, what fun! Here are some before and after shots. I began phase two of the relandscaping in October 2001 and have new pictures below. In 2002 I added even more pix as I continuously fiddled around in the yard. And some more in 2003!

The aftermath... 19 bags of dry weeds
and sticks
plus 1 large garbage can full with a big grass bush...

Phase Two: Additional
Bushes
In October 2001 I hit the yard again in hopes of removing a few more bushes
that were out of control. Also a few of my new cacti began to bloom including my
favorite one: an Agave or century plant that blooms once after 70 to 100 years
(thus the name) and then dies. I am excited that it is blooming but now I need
to buy a new one.
I removed three bushes that had to be trimmed every week and
replaced them with some sage that will be much easier to trip and will
eventually look much cleaner. The one to the right of the fireplace is a new
addition.
Alas - the building across the street continues on - my
sunset skyline is all gone!
